So, I'm a loser who finds fan made opening credits. I don't care though, it's entertaining and this one is really good. Watch, enjoy. :]

A Word That Defines Me;
The word that defines me is loser. :D
Dictionary.com defines it as:
Loser
–noun
1. | a person, team, nation, etc., that loses: The visiting team was the loser in the series. |
2. | Informal.
|
3. | Slang. a misfit, esp. someone who has never or seldom been successful at a job, personal relationship, etc. |
Loser
1. A person who does not care what other people think.
:]
I think loser defines me because if the dictionary defined loser the way I do, I would definitely be one. But the first part of the third definition does describe me. "A misfit." I'm a misfit and proud of it. ;] I don't need to fit in. I'm happy being who I want to be and I don't need to fit in. Honestly no one fits in. People are almost never who they make themselves seem to be, everyone is always trying to seem like someone they're not, someone they think is "better". Well, I'd rather be myself and a "misfit" than be someone I'm not, someone fake, and fit in.
I also went on to urban-dictionary.com and found this definition for my nickname:
Kaci
1. The best person to ever walk the Earth. A Kaci is the most beautiful, gorgeous, and amazing person ever. She has the most memorizing eyes that you could stare into forever.
Example: "That girl is definitely a Kaci!"

Today in History;
In the scientific revolution we learned about:
Nicolaus Copernicus and how in 1543 he proposed a heliocentric, or sun centered, model of the universe.
Galileo Galilei and that he built a telescope and confirmed Copernicus's heliocentric model. His discovery caused an uproar and he was tried before the Inquisition.
Scientific Method was a new approach to science and depended on observation and experimentation.
Isaac Newton proposed the law of gravity.
In the philosophy of age and reason we learned:
Thohmas Hobbes and how he believed that people are naturally cruel, greedy and selfish.
John Locke believed that people are basically reasonable and moral.
Baron de Montesquieu said that the seperation of power is the best way to protect liberty.
Voltaire defended the principle of freedom of speech.
Mary Wollstonecraft fought for women's rights and said that a woman should not be completely dependant on her husband.
Today in Math. :/
Today in my math class we learned how to find the magnitude of a vector. We also learned how to find the direction of a vector.
To find the magnitude of a vector you use the formula:
To find the magnitude of a vector you use the formula:
So, if you have two points on a line P and Q and P's coordinates are (1, 2) and Q's coordinates are (5, 5), you would plug that into the above formula to get:
To find the direction of a vector you take the difference of the x's and the difference in the y's and divide them. Take that answer and find it's tangent.
On a calculater press the 2nd button, then tan. Tan[Negative 1] should come up on your screen. After that put in the answer you got from dividing the x's difference and the y's difference. You now ha

<5> = <4,>
You would then use the distance formula to find the magnitude:The square root of (5-1)[Squared] + (5-2)[Squared]
=
The square root of 25 or just 5.
So the magnitude of ray PQ is 5.=
The square root of 25 or just 5.

My blogger has decided to freak out on me. Well, either my blog or my computer has.
Either way this is a post to make sure that it didn't die. [:
Today was a good day, sorta. Well, it was mainly good. I had a bad dream last night so that made the morning kind of bad. But the rest of the day was good.
FIRST PERIOD; We watched a movie. It was funny, although I don't think it was supposed to be. I have a weird sense of humor, that should explain it. Haha.
THIRD PERIOD; He checked our homework and went over some stuff that I actually understand. I finished my homework in class.
FIFTH PERIOD; We watched a documentary about heart disease and crystal meth. They're separate videos, not the same. Hah. I texted my friends when they were sitting right next to me. We made fun of some of the things in the video.
SEVENTH PERIOD; We watched 'Energy Wars', it was boring, so I slept a little bit. But before I slept I ate pizza and had Hawaiin Punch. It was very good. :] Anyway, after I woke up me and my friends drew stupid pictures.
Tell me about your day. [:

Random. :]
- Hiro Nakumura, Heroes.
I'm supposed to be doing geometry homework. I'll do that after this though. I just like that picture and I don't want to just post a picture, so I'm writing. Yupyup.
But yeah, yesterday I went to the movies. I saw Taken [again] and Push. Push was actually good. I wasn't sure if it was going to be or not. But I liked it. The black guy was cool. Hah. I don't know his name, but I've seen him in other movies and he's awesome. Yup. :]
This is a pointless post, so if you get bored just stop reading. Lol.
Hmm, I think that picture could be a bit brighter... That's kind of depressing. Well, no it's not, but still.
I'm done trying to think of things to say now. :P
Peace. <3

Mini Rant.
"We dream of hope,we dream of change,of fire,of love,of death, and then it happens, the dream becomes real. And the answer to the quest, this need to solve life's mysteries finally shows itself, like the glowing light of the new dawn. So much struggle, for meaning, for purpose, but in the end we find it only in each other. Our shared experiences of the fantastic, and the mundane. The simple, human need to find the kindred, to connect, and to know in our hearts that we are not alone."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes. So, I lied. I haven't written about my teachers yet. I know I said I would yesterday, and well, I'm working on it. Haha. But anyway, I wanted to rant a little bit. I was going to post it on myspace since that's where it happened, but if I post here it helps the whole blog grade. :]
So, I was on myspace and I read this thing my friend wrote. She was talking about this one burn book. I went and read, because I'm nosy like that, but that's not the point. The point is that the burn book just trashes half the kids on that list they put. It was making people really mad too. It would make me mad too though if I was in it. But they don't know me, so it's kind of alright.
Anyway, they had a WHOLE bunch of people on the list. I think they're going to keep talking about the rest of the people too; I only think that beause it's stupid to have people in a "burn book" and just not say anything to them.
The fact that this thing was up there still made me mad though. I mean does someone seriously have nothing better to do than to talk crap about people? The insults weren't even that good. The best they did said, "You think you can skate, my dog can skate better than you and I don't even have a dog."
Yeah, that was the best insult and even that one isn't any good.
But anyway, the point is people like that annoy me. They don't have anything better to do with they're life so they insult other people. They don't have anything good going for them so they insult people to make themselves feel better.
It makes me mad.
You're not better than anybody else. If you hate someone for something, talk crap about them online, and don't even tell people who you are, then you are no better than the people you hate so much.
Seriously, leave your middle school, immature, drama, crap where it belongs and grow up.
I feel better now. :]
Peace.

Quotess.
So, I've got an iPod Touch now. My boyfriend gave it to me. :D
I've got a new background thing; I love it. :D The only problem is the image isn't long enough. You can see where it repeats and whatnot. If anyone figures out what image I used and puts it up I will hurt them. :P
That picture to the left there is really pretty. I found it while looking for a background. Don't steal it, it's not pretty enough for you. [I'm kidding] :P
But yeah, this is somewhat of a filler post. I thought I had more to write about but I really don't. So in a few minutes I'm going to talk about my teachers, a lot of people seem to be doing that and since I have nothing better to do, other than a Spanish project, I'm going to do that. Talk about my teachers, not the Spanish project.
I put a whole bunch of quotes in that scroll box down there. They're mainly from Heroes, I have an unhealthy obsession with that show. I like them though. I have almost all of Mohinder Suresh's quotes because his are cool and make me think. Suresh is bomb. :] Lol.
I think I only have one from Peter Petrelli. That's rather depressing. Peter is my favorite character. He's cute. :] That's only part of the reason why I like him. Haha. He's a really nice character, kind of the naive good guy. He's not really naive anymore which I'm very glad for. But that's beside the point. I didn't really have a point, but still.

"Man is a narcissistic species by nature. We have colonized the four corners of our tiny planet. But we are not the pinnacle of so-called evolution. That honor belongs to the lowly cockroach. Capable of living for months without food. Remaining alive headless for weeks at a time. Resistant to radiation. If God has indeed created Himself in His own image, then I submit to you that God is a cockroach."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"Some individuals, it is true, are more special. This is natural selection. It begins as a single individual born or hatched like every other member of their species. Anonymous. Seemingly ordinary. Except they're not. They carry inside them the genetic code that will take their species to the next evolutionary rung. It's destiny."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"I did it! I teleported in to the women's bathroom!"
"Then you're a pervert!"

"We all imagine ourselves the agents of our destiny, capable of determining our own fate. But have we truly any choice in when we rise? Or when we fall? Or does a force larger than ourselves bid us our direction? Is it evolution that takes us by the hand? Does science point our way? Or is it God who intervenes, keeping us safe?"
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"When evolution selects its agents, it does so at a cost, makes demands in exchange for singularity and you may be asked to do something against your very nature. Suddenly the change in your life that should have been wonderful comes as a betrayal. It may seem cruel, but the goal is nothing short of self-preservation, survival."
- Monhinder Suresh, Heroes.
"Well, this is macaroni and cheese. It's what Americans eat when they want to commit suicide slowly."
- Eden, Heroes.
"Who are you calling?"
"The comic book author. To warn him about the future. He keeps hanging up on me."
"That's because you're crazy. I'd hang up on you too, if I could."
- Hiro Nakumura and Ando, Heroes.
"I don't want to lose you. But if you don't believe in me, then you shouldn't be here."
- Isaac Mendez, Heroes.
"This force, evolution, is not sentimental. Like the earth itself, it knows only the hard facts of life's struggle with death. All you can do is hope and trust that when you have served its needs faithfully, there may still remain some glimmer of the life you once knew."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"Look, you can't say anything. I'm fine. He was drunk and it was an accident."
"Which part was an accident? The rape or the murder?"

"I'm alive!"

"I'm not a hard drive."
"No, you're little Miss Miracle Gro."
"Don't ever call me that again."
- Claire and Zach, Heroes.
"When a change comes, some species feel the urge to migrate, they call it zugunruhe. "A pull of the soul to a far off place," following a scent in the wind, a star in the sky. The ancient message comes calling the kindred to take flight and gather together. Only then they can hope to survive the cruel season to come."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"You do not choose your destiny, it chooses you. And those that knew you before Fate took you by the hand cannot understand the depth of the changes inside. They cannot fathom how much you stand to lose in failure...that you are the instrument of flawless Design. And all of life may hang in the balance. The hero learns quickly who can comprehend and who merely stands in your way."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"The Earth is large. Large enough that you think you can hide from anything. From Fate. From God. If only you found a place far enough away. So you run. To the edge of the Earth. Where all is safe again. Quiet, and warm. The solace of salt air. The peace of danger left behind. The luxury of grief. And maybe, for a moment, you believe you have escaped."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"You can run far, you can take your small precautions. But have you really gotten away? Can you ever escape? Or is it the truth that you did not have the strength or cunning to hide from destiny? That the world is not small. you are. And, fate can find you anywhere."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"We are, if anything, creatures of habit. Drawn to the safety and the comfort of the similar. But what happens when the familiar becomes unsafe? When the fear that we've been desperately trying to avoid, finds us where we live?"

All in defiance of a thundering truth. They're here, and the earth shudders underfoot."

"Where does it come from? This quest? This need to solve lifes mysteries when the simpliest of questions can never be answered. Why are we here? What is the soul? Why do we dream? Perhaps we would be better off not looking at all. Not delving. Not yearning. But that's not human nature. Not the human heart. That is not why we are here. Yet still we struggle to make a difference. To change the world. To dream of hope. Never knowing for certain who we'll meet along the way. Who, among the world of strangers, will hold our hand. Touch our hearts. And share the pain of trying."

"It is man's ability to remember that sets us apart. We are the only species that is concerned with the past. How memories give us voice. And to bear witness to history so that others might learn. So that they might celebrate our triumphs and be warned of our failures."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"I accidentally set my grandmother's house on fire when I was six. Caused a blackout in four counties in Ohio when I was eight. I spent my ninth birthday in a glass room with an IV of lithium in my arm. I've lived in this building for sixteen years, ever since the shrinks diagnosed me as a sociopath with paranoid delusions - but they were just out to get me because I threatened to kill 'em. I'm 24 years old and I've never gone on a date. Never been on a roller coaster, never been swimming. And now you know everything there is to know about me. I don't have the luxury of being more interesting than that."
- Elle, Heroes.
"There are many ways to define our fragile existence. Many ways to give it meaning. But it is our memories that shape its purpose and give it context. The private assortment of images, fears, loves, regrets. For it is the cruel irony of life that we are destined to hold the dark with the light. The good with the evil. Success with disappointment. This is what separates us. What makes us human. And in the end, we must fight to hold on to."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heores.
"I refuse to eulogize my father. To eulogize him is to admit he is gone. My father is not dead. Kaito Nakamura taught me right from wrong. What it means to be a hero... so long as the lessons live on through me, he will never die. My father taught me to understand that certain things are in God's hands, but for everything else, God has given us the gift of choice. My father gave me the tools to fight the battles ahead. Every hand I extend in kindness is his hand. And every blow that I strike for justice is his fist. So long as the lessons he taught stay with me, and so long as he lives on in my heart, then my father is never truly dead."
- Hiro Nakumura, Heroes.
"Good afternoon. Most of you have no idea who I am. My name is Nathan Petrelli and I was elected to Congress in the state of New York. It seems like a long time ago. I lost my position. I lost my brother. I lost my family. I'm sad to say that I lost my way. But while I was gone, I've had the chance to see the world through newly-humbled eyes. Witnessed amazing things, seen ordinary people among us trying their best each day to be heroes. These ordinary people... like you, like me, are capable of extraordinary things. You have no idea... how extraordinary. But there are other people; organizations who don't want you to know the truth. I myself kept secrets. But last year, something incredible happened to me... and it changed my life. At first, I was afraid. But I'm... I'm not afraid anymore. I'm here to tell you the truth."
- Nathan Petrelli, Heroes.
"A child is born to innocence. A child is drawn towards good. Why then do so many among us go so horribly wrong? What makes some walk the path of darkness while others choose the light? Is it will, is it destiny? Can we ever hope to understand the force that shapes the soul? To fight evil, one must know evil. One must journey back through time and find that fork in the road, where heroes turn one way and villains turn another."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"On the sixth day, God created Man in His own image, and now it's up to us to figure it all out. Right...wrong...good...evil...in each of us is the capacity to decide what drives our actions. So what is it, then, that makes some choose selflessness, the need to devote themselves to something greater, while others know only self-interest? Isolating themselves in a world of their own making? Some seek love, even if only unrequited, while others are driven by fear and betrayal. There are those who see their choices as dark proof of God's absence while others follow a path of noble destiny. But in the end, right, wrong, good, or evil...what we choose is never what we really need. For that is the ultimate cosmic joke, the real gift that God has left behind"
- Sylar? Heroes.
"There is good, and there is evil. Right, and wrong. Heroes and villains. And if we are blessed with wisdom, then there are glimpses between the cracks of each where light streams through. We wait in silence for these times, when sense can be made. When meaningless existence comes into focus, and our purpose presents itself. And if we have the strength to be honest, and what we find there, staring back at us, is our own reflection. Bearing witness to the duality of life. And each one of us is capable of both the dark, and the light.. the good and evil, of either, of all. And destiny, while marching ever in our direction can be re rooted by the choices we make. By the love we hold on to, and the promises we keep."

- Mohinder Suresh, Heores.
" Haven't I killed you before?"
"Didn't take."
- Sylar and Peter Petrelli, Heroes.
"The sun rises on a new dawn. Yet few of us realize the debt we owe to those responsible for this. To those who dwell among us. Anonymous, seemingly ordinary, whom destiny brought together to heal, to save us, from ourselves."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"Look, I know you're looking for answers. We all are. But trust me, I'm not the guy to give them to you. I'm sorry."
- Nathan Petrelli, Heroes.
"When confronted by our worst nightmares, the choices are few. Fight, or flight. We hope to find the strength to stand against our fears but sometimes, despite ourselves, we run."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"Molly faced her worst nightmare for you. Do the same for her."
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
- Mohinder Suresh, Heroes.
"What advice could I give you besides 'kiss my ass'?"
- Peter Petrelli, Heroes.

Hmm.
- Sylar, Heroes.
So, Mr. Lacombe told us to try and blog everyday this weekend, that didn't work too well for me. Haha. But, I think I've blogged a bit more than some people, so that works for me. :]
But I was thinking about Heroes, because I'm weird and have no life. Lol. But Peter is my favorite character, the fact that I think he's cute has nothing to do with it. ;]
Anyway, I was thinking that Sylar really isn't given the credit he deserves. He's a ruthless killer, but his character is more complex than just "Evil guy who no one seems to be able to kill."
I can't remember exactly what his power is, but I remember that he has a thirst for knowledge. A strange power, but that "thirst" gives him that drive to kill. Even with that desire to acquire more powers and learn how the powers work, he learned how to give up killing and get the powers through empathy.
Later on he gives that up because the person he thought was his father lied to him.
In the current season Sylar uses his powers mainly to protect himself. Now the only thing he wants is to find his father. He learns that his father sold him for money. Slyar met a boy who knows where his father is. He gets the address and later on he still saves him. It's despite his very character to save someone who can't help him and yet he does it anyway.
Anyway, that was my little rant. Did you manage to get through it all?

Free Write Thing
It's Wednesday? Yesh, it is. :/ It feels like it should be later. It needs to be later. This is a slow short week. Haha.
But yeah, I can't think of much to write about. Ooh, you won't see this since I'll retype it, but my handwriting is really pretty today. :]
Let's see, I made cookies for Valentines Day. Lol. I was going to give them to my boyfriend, but I burnt them, so I couldn't. Well, I really could have, but the cookies are groooss, so I didn't. They aren't THAT bad, I need to drown them in milk though. I made them from scratch, like I made the dough and everything.
My friend claimed that he could cook better than me, because he's stupid and think that buying the dough and then putting it in the oven is cooking. It isn't. I can burn cookies that I actually made and still beat him at cooking.
I'm rambling. Hah.
[ Ohh, and Heroes is bomb. :D ]
Peace. :]

A Book Everyone Should Read. :]
I think everyone should read Requiem for a Dream by Hurbert Selby Jr.
It's about four people. Harry Goldfarb, his girlfriend Marion, their friend Tyrone C. Love, and Harry's mother, Sara Goldfarb.
Sara Goldfarb becomes addicted to diet pills after she discovers that she's going to be on television. Harry, Tyrone, and Marion attempt to make a lot of money by selling drugs. They all are fine for a while, but their lives get messed up.
Everyone should read this book because it's really good. It's crazy and a little hard to understand who's talking, but it's addicting. :]

"I don't want to lose you.
But if you don't believe in me, then you shouldn't be here."

:]
Soo, I'm only writing because Tony wants me to. Tony's mean like that and he'll probably keep bothering me until I write something. So here you go Tony. :P
I'm Kirstin and I turn 16 on April 2nd. I haven't been typing well lately, I've been adding a 'g' to my name. So, I tend to just write Kaci, it's my nickname and I don't add any random letters while I'm typing it. :]
Anyway, I'm an only child. People keep saying I'm lucky, but I'm really not. I don't get spoiled too much and my parents always expect a lot from me. I guess I do get more spoiled than some people, so I'm somewhat lucky. :P
I don't like talking about myself, so this is weird for me. Lol. I have three dogs, they're all really sweet. The golden retriever is my favorite. :] I have a boyfriend, Miles, on February 4th we'll have been dating for 8 months. <3
I repeated myself a lot, but it's gone now so it doesn't matter. :P
